Hailing from the city of Liege in the Wallonia region of Belgium, the Liege waffle is noticeably denser, sweeter and chewier than the waffle most Americans think of as "Belgian." Filled with crunchy pearl sugar, this yeasted waffle is intensely buttery and flavorful! In honor of Belgian National Day later this month and in homage to the country where we first opened our doors 25 years ago, give this very authentic waffle a try!
